July 24-27 Local Club Run – Big Bear-A-Thon
For those who cannot make it all the way out to Virginia Lakes, Dat will be leading our 3rd annual Big Bear weekend.
Like years past (2023 and 2024), this will be a multi-day base camping and exploration event on Thursday 7/24 to Saturday 7/26. Being on the last weekend of July, I’m expecting for the weather to be sunny during the day and cool at night, perfect for wheeling and cookouts!
Trails in the areas are mild to wild and we will explore the area to the best ability of our vehicles. Be sure that your vehicle has recovery points in both front and rear. Without recovery points you can still join us at camp but won’t be trail riding.
I would like to try something new this year and welcome those willing to try in their two wheel drive vehicles on the not so technical runs. Though high clearance and recovery points are still required. 2WD can definitely get to our campsite (34.30485, -116.88698) and can be camped there while you can ride with someone in their 4WD. There is enough space for a handful of trailers but do let me know ahead of time if you are bringing one so we can arrange accordingly.

Please reply on our IH8MUD thread if you plan to join. And I hope you do!
